Bridging Hospital and Home, Together
We’re bringing together health system leaders, technology innovators, clinicians, and operators to build the foundational infrastructure for care that bridges the hospital and the home. This is a builder’s community, creating the standards, tools, and frameworks that enable high-quality, distributed care delivery through open-source collaboration.
What is OpenHaH?
OpenHaH is a community-driven initiative to create a shared foundation for care that safely bridges the hospital and ambulatory setting with care delivered in the home and community.
It will be an open framework that brings together clinicians, operators, technologists, researchers, and policy leaders to develop practical standards, tools, and knowledge that anyone can use to start or scale home-based care programs.
Why It Matters
Health systems are rethinking where and how care is delivered. Yet every organization today has to rebuild the same frameworks from scratch, including clinical protocols, logistics workflows, safety models, and data standards.
OpenHaH wants to change that by creating a common operating language for advanced care at home so that every participant can focus on delivering great care, not reinventing the wheel.
How It Works
Open Resources
Playbooks, safety frameworks, budgets, KPI definitions, and interoperability guides, freely available to all.
Community Working Groups
Ongoing forums for topics like safety, reimbursement, interoperability, and workforce.
Collaborative Sandbox
A hosted test environment to explore open workflows and share new ideas safely with synthetic data.
Contributions
Participants share real-world learnings, tools, and refinements to strengthen the shared framework.
Maribel’s Role and Intentions
Maribel is founding and stewarding OpenHaH by providing the initial frameworks, technology backbone, and dedicated team to support the community.
Commitment
Keep core materials and the sandbox open, transparent, and freely accessible.
Sustainability
Fund maintenance and coordination through Maribel’s commercial activities, not user fees.
Commercial Distinction
Maribel’s software builds on OpenHaH for enterprise-grade orchestration, analytics, and automation to ensure organizations can scale safely from framework to full operation.
